White Insurance Agency has represented Erie Insurance for more than 60 years, specializing in auto, home, business, life insurance and annuities. The agency is a family-owned and operated business built on a strong foundation of providing excellent customer service and meeting the specific needs of its policyholders. The White Insurance Agency presently serves more than 5,000 policyholders in Westmoreland and Fayette Counties.
Harold M. White established the White Insurance Agency in his Indian Head, Fayette County home in the early 1950s
As the business grew, an office was added in 1955 on Bridge Street in Scottdale and moved shortly thereafter to the old Reid Building at the corner of Pittsburgh Street and Broadway.
Later, the office relocated to 122 North Broadway, where it has been for the last 25 years.
In 1966, Harold’s son, H. Brooks White, opened a second office in Mount Pleasant presently located at 433 West Main Street.
